Very pleased with this composter. It took about 1hr to put together. The instructions were clear and concise. The screws and such were clearly labeled and in separate bags. Have been using this composter for several weeks now and there has been zero smell or issue with insects. It's very spacious too, it will take me the rest of the summer to fill it probably. It has 2 separate bins within the 50 gallon barrel design which rotates for faster composting of yard leaves and kitchen plant-based scraps 3. It is raised above the ground on a stand to keep the squirrels ️ and other rodents away that had been raiding our last bin 4. It has easy access to each of the 2 bins with just the turn of the bright green knob to open it 5. It blends beautifully into our backyard which is surrounded by trees and greenery which attracts lots of birds 6. WORD OF CAUTION from my Hubbie who put this together for me. The assembly was quite challenging and this took him about 3 hours to turn all the pieces into the completed bin. One thing to know is that it's heavy! I recommend deciding where you want it before putting it together because it's not something you'll want to move afterward. The heavy-duty construction feels like it will outlast every wooden compost bin I've owned, which eventually succumbed to rot and weather. My only complaint is the price. I bought this as an addition to my tote worm bin as the worms needed to be divided. I have a tote style for a year and wanted to try a tower. The lid does not snap on like the tote top. Whether this is going to be a problem, I don’t know. My tote has 3 coverings: plastic wrap, then paper grocery bag, then cloth held on with 2 types of bands. Just having a lid sitting on bin is the opposite of my other bin. Instructions were unclear and I emailed customer service and never heard back. No idea what or how to use the spigot. Will search you tube. I think this is a good kit with lots of extras that I havent had to use but fun to have to be more expert (temperature gage, ph balance thing).. Mary. Belfast, ME.
