The style of the curtains are very nice and they definitely black out light but I ordered the color latte which looks like a nice chocolate brown in the product photos but the color I received looks more of a taupe so I am quite disappointed about that. Ticking Stripes are as classic as it gets when it comes to home textiles. Although it comes from humble beginnings, Ticking Stripes are no longer utilitarian and have found their place in modern design intending to evoke a homespun or industrial aesthetic.

I ordered two stationary curtain panels 20” x 108” in Walnut. The fabric seems to be of good quality and thickness and the color is exactly as shown on the website. However, I think that the pleats are a little on the shallow side so that the folds will not be as full as I would like them (only 4” between pleats). But, for a ready-made drape, I would say that the value is there for the money paid. I love the quality and the curtains. They are a little longer than I needed so will need to hem. I’m disappointed because I didn’t read the items and wouldn’t have paid this much per panel. I am obsessed with my new curtains. I was looking for large panel curtains that had a pinch pleat and were machine washable. While these aren't blackout curtains, they look lovely. One thing is that the color pulls kind of pink, but it really depends on the lighting. I will be adding a blackout liner as well. I got this curtain for a wide, south-facing bay window in my living room. If you're looking for true blackout function, this curtain (in wheat... a mid-tone) is only a partial win. In bright, direct sun, this curtain filters only a 3 out of 4 (to compare with a brand which uses that 4-point scale with honesty). In overcast or night settings (I live across from a commercial site with intense LED lighting at night), this curtain is 100% blackout, but in bright daytime, glows dark orange and shows both direct sunlight and bleedthrough areas from my mini-blinds. (see 2nd image) However, the quality/heaviness of this fabric is outstanding. It's heavy enough that I have no fear that the grommets will tear out from regular use. This is relevant because, yes, I used a heavier curtain in my bedroom every night for 8 years, and am now going to make a new grommet band for that, using grommets I found from the jungle. [*returning to my current redecorating project....*] I'd already received a new 8-grommet (ea) blackout set for the smaller LR window (from the jungle), but couldn't find a matching 12-grommet set anywhere for the bay window. The existing curtain might be described as "fawn" or "honeyed tan;" I'd been attracted to its yellow undertones. This curtain is a very reasonable match; it looks a little lighter in strong daylight, but identical in overcast (see 1st image) or pm conditions. No one would know they're different unless I told them. This curtain has a lovely, soft rayon-like drape in a (surprise!) twill weave. If you wanted to add a lining for true blackout results, attach a dense but soft fabric just below the grommets. Or buy a second version in a light color and thread this 2-layer combo on a heavy duty rod (especially if you have HOA issues about window reveals).
