We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. The lights look high-end. Flat to the ceiling for a modern vibe. They are perfect for vaulted ceilings, and the kelvins are good. I gave them 4-stars because one of the lights had a slightly different hue to it. We ordered 3000k, but one of the lights has an amber undertone. We got a range hood for our outside grill it took time to install because my husband built a wood box to attach it to our roof.it works great because now when we use the grill all the smoke doesn’t stay in the area and we are able to eat sitting around the grill. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult.
