These are really great LED lights for a new construction. We purchased in both 4 inch and 6 inch sizes and they match perfectly. We also changed some of the light sizes before our ceiling went out but after the rough electrical was finished, and the same j-boxes for either light works flawlessly which each diameter size, which is a helpful feature, in case you end up changing your mind on the light size after rough electrical installation.. The lights look high-end. Flat to the ceiling for a modern vibe. They are perfect for vaulted ceilings, and the kelvins are good. I gave them 4-stars because one of the lights had a slightly different hue to it. We ordered 3000k, but one of the lights has an amber undertone. These lights are great. I was able to install them myself and I am not an electrician (although a very capable DIYer). The box sits perfectly inside the ceiling and the switch to adjust the light temperature is on the side facing the hole so you don't have to keep pulling it out to adjust. The lights are wafer thin and the clips are easy enough to manage. Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. This 12-pack of 14 watt 7” LED 5CCT Selectable Disc Lights features a versatile design in a white aluminum trim, suitable for damp locations and that fit standard 3.5" and 4" J-Boxes, allowing for an easy and quick installation for both remodels and new construction and allowing users and installers to choose the tone of white light they desire before installation.

Unfortunately, these lights don’t work in my house. They are made for new construction and in order to make them work in an older house. You have to retrofit the light fixture, which would cost more money than it’s worth. They are not made to go right into an existing light fixture. You will need to order the springs from the company for them to work unless you have newer construction they won’t work. That being said, they seem like good quality. I love these retrofit recessed pot lights. I've used various brands in the past to replace the old screw-in incandescent flood "can" lights. I like this as it can either be plugged in to an electrical connection if one exists, or if not, just add the "pigtail" and screw it in as you would a lightbulb.
