The inspiration for this collection comes from the flooring recovered from an old country home in Romagna, dating back to the early 1900s, when cement began to be used as a binder for renovation work, but pieces of marble or recycled materials were used as insets. In the porcelain stoneware of I COCCI, the grain size varies depending on the size of the different pieces obtained from a single type of traditional white marble chips and white cotto. The mortar used is grey on the outside and white at the core. The collection features a base tile with the same “gravelly” pattern present on the decorative element.

Beautiful tile! It is thick and heavy and arrived well packaged and undamaged. It looks like 4 separate tiles with grooves between each one but it is actually one large tile 24" x 24". These tiles are so beautiful! Not only are they made well with precise cutting on each edge, the surface patterns are smooth to the touch even though they are not a glossy finish. They add a real touch of beauty to my kitchen. I would have preferred fewer patterns in the selection (there are 8 or 9). I chose two favorites for this project (my kitchen rolling cart), and I have several other similar projects in mind, including an inlaid serving tray. The Intarsi Elite 01 8” x 8” Spanish pattern Look Wall Floor tile are well made and heavy. They were well packaged so no tiles were broken. You will need multiple boxes, however, to cover any surface they’ll be used on. There is a white substance in each that you have to scrape off so that’s why I took 1 star off.. Mark. Miami, FL.
