Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This allows bucket filling but leaves a lot of the water behind that often becomes stagnant and hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for buckets and leave hoses as the only draining option. The rain wizard urn stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the rain wizard urn (65-gallon) or rain wizard urn 50 rain barrels off the ground. With increased elevation, the barrel can drain at a much faster rate, and buckets and watering cans are easily placed below the spigot without awkward tilting or maneuvering. Pretty happy with it. I bought it in charcoal and up close it looks like plastic (which of course it is), but it’s a great size. The planter area is a little odd. I need to buy some sort of basket that will fit there. I’ve got a rain chain going into it and I have it hooked up to another barrel (for symmetry), even though the other barrel isn’t hooked up to a downspout. The color issue is for Wayfair customer service and shouldn't affect the product quality review. The way they show it installed on the side of the house is pretty troublesome too. The diverter system not only fills the barrel from the downspout directly but also avoids overflowing the barrel when properly installed by directing excess water back to the downspout. Installation is quick and easy. On the downspout, simply drill a hole with the included hole saw, then insert the rubber rain catch. The rain catch design allows the collection of water as it runs down the walls of your downspout while it filters out any leafy debris.
