It's almost perfect for where I put it. I have a very high (~12') octagonal window in my bedroom, and it's impossible to find a shade that's right for it. But the sun shines in that window right in my eyes and wakes me up at 6am every morning, so I wanted to cover that window without making it look ridiculous. I have white plantation shutters on the lower windows, so it looks nice with those. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there was a choice between "functional" and "non-functional" versions of this cover, but the terms weren't defined. I assumed they meant that functional has moving slats, and non-functional was slats that don't move. So I ordered the functional version to be sure I could close them all the way But what they meant was that functional has holes between the slats (for allowing airflow in an attic, I guess), and non-functional is solid - no holes. I should have gotten the non-functional version, because it would have blocked all the light. But I couldn't wait another day to get rid of that early morning light, so I just installed it right away and started getting the benefit of blocked light in the morning. It's much better, but I might someday replace it with the non-functional version.. Cheryl. Redwood City, CA. Tue May 09 2023

Great Quality and Perfect for Hard-to-Find Window Sizes I bought these shutters for one of our smaller windows and had a hard time finding the correct size through other websites and big box stores. Wayfair had so many more size options, so these ended up being the perfect solution. I’ve purchased Lifetime vinyl shutters from other vendors before and have always been impressed with the quality, and these were no exception. Installation was extremely easy, and they immediately elevated the look of what was otherwise a pretty plain window. I was especially impressed with how sturdy they are. Some raised panel vinyl shutters can feel flimsy and may crack during installation, but these are surprisingly rigid while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I also really like the realistic woodgrain texture. I’ve had them installed for a while now and haven’t noticed any fading from the sun. Between the quality, easy installation, great selection of sizes, and fast free shipping, I would absolutely order another set if I needed them.. Amy. FL. Sun Aug 09 2026

Dress up your windows with Ekena Millwork's high-quality lifetime exterior vinyl shutters. The most rustic-looking of popular exterior shutter styles, board, and batten house shutters, were the most common type in America until the mid-18th century when lighter and open louver shutters became more common. Today, they are most often used to bring back the charm of that era in Ekena Millwork's history and to match the period's style of architecture. These shutters are made of durable vinyl, one of today's most versatile exterior materials. With a rich woodgrain molded into each pair, they are a great alternative to traditional wooden shutters, providing the look of wood without the possible upkeep. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. I wanted to leave a detailed review because I couldnt find a detailed review when I decided to purchase these columns.. Mia. Redford, MI. Fri Jan 20 2023
