I returned these, but they are nice looking in person (I ended up using metal brackets instead to support my countertop bar). I chose the walnut color ones, and they did not appear to be walnut colored. Also, VERY important to know, in very fine print, it says that they are not returnable - even though on the same page on the website, in large capital letters, that all orders from Wayfair can be returned within 30 days. We were looking for valances or other treatments for our bathroom and bedroom windows, and determined these matched the window sill and crown molding in the rooms, so we used these as interior window headers. They are nicely proportioned....not too tall and not too deep. Easy to attach to the wall with 1x1 firring strips. Easy to paint to match trim. Great Quality and Perfect for Hard-to-Find Window Sizes I bought these shutters for one of our smaller windows and had a hard time finding the correct size through other websites and big box stores. I’ve purchased Lifetime vinyl shutters from other vendors before and have always been impressed with the quality, and these were no exception. Installation was extremely easy, and they immediately elevated the look of what was otherwise a pretty plain window. I was especially impressed with how sturdy they are. Some raised panel vinyl shutters can feel flimsy and may crack during installation, but these are surprisingly rigid while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I also really like the realistic woodgrain texture. I’ve had them installed for a while now and haven’t noticed any fading from the sun.
