Attached is a pic of the installed brackets. Unfortunately,we no longer own this house so I can't send more pictures. But the brackets were the finishing touch to all of the mill work that I installed in the home. When we sold the house our realtor said that the mill work was a deciding factor in the buyers choosing our house. I was impressed with the quality and ease of installation. If I remember correctly, I used construction adhesive to install them and did not use any fasteners of any type. They really added that finishing touch to the beam between our kitchen and dining room. I would rate the quality five stars! The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Exactly what I needed to cover up a large hole in my ceiling when I installed a new light fixture. We were looking for valances or other treatments for our bathroom and bedroom windows, and determined these matched the window sill and crown molding in the rooms, so we used these as interior window headers. They are nicely proportioned....not too tall and not too deep. Easy to attach to the wall with 1x1 firring strips. Easy to paint to match trim. Recently installed a new ceiling fan. Works well but visable mounting screws on the side detract from appearance Split medallion to the rescue! Inside diameter of the medallion 5 inches. Outside fan diameter 5 1/4 inches. Trouble !. Down to the work shop where medallion ID opened to 9/32. Medallion then mounted upside down, around the fan and against the ceiling using a very small amount of adhesive. Screws now hidden and appearance very nice.. Rick S. Fri Aug 02 2024

This makes a statement! However, it is quite heavy (about 10 pounds). I would not rely solely on adhesive caulking and would add screws to help support it. I wish that it came with countersunk holes for that purpose. Also, highly suggest priming before painting. This took up a lot of paint and required several coats.. Tara. ON. Sat Dec 05 2020
