We were looking for valances or other treatments for our bathroom and bedroom windows, and determined these matched the window sill and crown molding in the rooms, so we used these as interior window headers. They are nicely proportioned....not too tall and not too deep. Easy to attach to the wall with 1x1 firring strips. Easy to paint to match trim. Attached is a pic of the installed brackets. Unfortunately,we no longer own this house so I can't send more pictures. But the brackets were the finishing touch to all of the mill work that I installed in the home. When we sold the house our realtor said that the mill work was a deciding factor in the buyers choosing our house. I was impressed with the quality and ease of installation. If I remember correctly, I used construction adhesive to install them and did not use any fasteners of any type. They really added that finishing touch to the beam between our kitchen and dining room. I would rate the quality five stars! I returned these, but they are nice looking in person (I ended up using metal brackets instead to support my countertop bar). I chose the walnut color ones, and they did not appear to be walnut colored. Also, VERY important to know, in very fine print, it says that they are not returnable - even though on the same page on the website, in large capital letters, that all orders from Wayfair can be returned within 30 days.
