Ceiling rings are often used in conjunction with ceiling medallions in highlighting focal points like chandeliers and ceiling fans. However, ceiling rings can also be used on the wall to accent mirrors, photos, and photo frames.

I had installed a medallion when we replaced our chandelier. I was disappointed because the medallion was too small for the fixture. This ceiling ring was perfect to give the illusion of a larger medallion without having to start over! It would also be useful when the medallion you love is too small for what you need- more intentional than was my case. Calculating the size I needed was the tricky part! With the medallion, this ring, and the ceiling between the two painted the same color, it appears that I have a much larger medallion than I actually have. The ceiling tile collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. The artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created Ekena Millwork use the high density urethane foam to form each tile. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster tiles is achieved only by using the high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type tiles.
