Ekena Millwork Cmwp18x18x0250cobi

The ceiling tile collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. The artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created Ekena Millwork use the high density urethane foam to form each tile. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster tiles is achieved only by using the high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type tiles.

This was perfect for our bathroom remodel when the exhaust fan opening for the old fan was a different shape (rectangular) than the new square one. It finishes it off/frames it nicely.. Kara. Woodbine, NJ. Fri Nov 10 2023

Beautiful crown molding is a great way to separate and define each room. With each design modeled after traditional plaster type moldings, Ekena Millwork lightweight polyurethane moldings give the same rich detail, yet at a fraction of the cost. Most molding profiles can be partnered with do-it-yourself corner blocks that means no miter cutting for you, and most rooms can be completed in instead of days. Another benefit of polyurethane is it will not rot or crack, and is impervious to insect manifestations. It comes to you factory primed and ready for your paint, faux finish, gel stain, marbleizing and more.

I bought the grapes and steam applied them to curved columns in my living room. They have held up great to a very high traffic area. I have been trying to find the company again to order more products because I used many of the different products in several areas of my home 20 years ago. They withstood so much and still look new. I cant wait to do more projects. Buy any of them, you wont be dissatisfied.. Dorothy S. Thu Oct 31 2024

nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension. Happy with the results but did not save time or expense compared to old fashioned box beam and molding construction.. Paul. MA. Thu May 26 2022
