I ordered the ceiling medallion in "primed" and plan to paint it to coordinate with the room. It arrived quickly and well packaged; my only complaint is that the hole in the middle isn't centered; fortunately, the canopy for the light fixture is large enough that it conceals that the hole is off-center. The ceiling medallion is much heavier than others I have purchased; I am sure it will require construction adhesive to keep it attached to the ceiling. This makes a statement! However, it is quite heavy (about 10 pounds). I would not rely solely on adhesive caulking and would add screws to help support it.
