I ordered the ceiling medallion in "primed" and plan to paint it to coordinate with the room. It arrived quickly and well packaged; my only complaint is that the hole in the middle isn't centered; fortunately, the canopy for the light fixture is large enough that it conceals that the hole is off-center. The ceiling medallion is much heavier than others I have purchased; I am sure it will require construction adhesive to keep it attached to the ceiling. This makes a statement! However, it is quite heavy (about 10 pounds). I would not rely solely on adhesive caulking and would add screws to help support it. Looks fantastic installed. It did take some time to shave some edges to fit flat, and adding plaster along the meeting edges to appear seamless. However the result was well worth this time.
