Keep the traditional look of an exterior gable vent, without the downsides of traditional wood, by ordering PVC gable vents.

It's almost perfect for where I put it. I have a very high (~12') octagonal window in my bedroom, and it's impossible to find a shade that's right for it. But the sun shines in that window right in my eyes and wakes me up at 6am every morning, so I wanted to cover that window without making it look ridiculous. I have white plantation shutters on the lower windows, so it looks nice with those. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there was a choice between "functional" and "non-functional" versions of this cover, but the terms weren't defined. I assumed they meant that functional has moving slats, and non-functional was slats that don't move. So I ordered the functional version to be sure I could close them all the way But what they meant was that functional has holes between the slats (for allowing airflow in an attic, I guess), and non-functional is solid - no holes. I should have gotten the non-functional version, because it would have blocked all the light. But I couldn't wait another day to get rid of that early morning light, so I just installed it right away and started getting the benefit of blocked light in the morning. It's much better, but I might someday replace it with the non-functional version.. Cheryl. Redwood City, CA. Tue May 09 2023

Bring the warmth and character of aged timber to your ceiling without the weight, cost, or labor of solid wood. Heritage Timber faux wood beams are cast directly from real, weathered timbers, so every grain line, saw mark, and hand-cut detail is authentic - reproduced in lightweight, high-density polyurethane that one person can comfortably lift and install. Each beam is moulded as a single piece rather than assembled from separate panels, so the corners stay clean with no visible seam lines. The result reads as solid timber from across the room and up close. Choose from four distinct textures - the clean grain of Mena, the weathered character of Salvaged Timber, the refined surface of Sanded Smooth, or the rugged, hand-worked feel of Reclaimed Axed Cut - in hand-applied stained finishes or a primed, ready-to-finish option you can paint or stain to match your space. The hollow U-shaped design slides over a simple mounting block, or wraps an existing structural beam, ductwork, or wiring, and installs with standard tools in an afternoon. Impervious to warping and cracking, Heritage Timber beams keep their good looks with minimal upkeep - timber style, up in a weekend.

Great Quality and Perfect for Hard-to-Find Window Sizes I bought these shutters for one of our smaller windows and had a hard time finding the correct size through other websites and big box stores. Wayfair had so many more size options, so these ended up being the perfect solution. I’ve purchased Lifetime vinyl shutters from other vendors before and have always been impressed with the quality, and these were no exception. Installation was extremely easy, and they immediately elevated the look of what was otherwise a pretty plain window. I was especially impressed with how sturdy they are. Some raised panel vinyl shutters can feel flimsy and may crack during installation, but these are surprisingly rigid while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I also really like the realistic woodgrain texture. I’ve had them installed for a while now and haven’t noticed any fading from the sun. Between the quality, easy installation, great selection of sizes, and fast free shipping, I would absolutely order another set if I needed them.. Amy. FL. Sat Aug 08 2026

Ideally suited for transforming ordinary houses, stores, and restaurants into extraordinary, charming country-style homes, shops, and inns, hollowed hand-hewn beams are lightweight, sturdy, and easy to install on virtually any type of surface using affixing them via countersunk nails or screws to nailing blocks or wood planks. To heighten the overall authenticity of installation offers optional rubber beam strapping and polyurethane U-brackets, which perfectly replicate the look of the heavy, forged wrought iron fastening hardware used to secure and affix the beams of yesteryear in place.

Dress up your windows with Ekena Millwork's high-quality lifetime exterior vinyl shutters. These shutters are made of durable vinyl, one of today's most versatile exterior materials. I had ordered two of these from another company (A-Z). They were packaged really bad and one was broken. I then ordered one from Wayfair and all though it was packaged so much better with extra packaging it was broken in half . I think that the company that makes them doesn't ship them to retailers very well. That being said my contractor was able to glue it cause it was cleanly broken and you can't tell. They are really beautiful just order early cause you may have to go through a few to get good ones . I'm very happy I got them they really add a lot to my mantle .. Christina Olivieri. What was once considered an expensive luxury, is now an affordable pursuit for a home that defines you.

nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension. Happy with the results but did not save time or expense compared to old fashioned box beam and molding construction.. Paul. MA. Thu May 26 2022
