It comes ready to install, painting is not required, however, to maintain uniform color we recommend painting with 100% acrylic latex paint. Fasten your PVC with standard PVC cement and stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized nails using common wood­working tools. Because PVC won't absorb water, it's perfect for installing directly to masonry or below ground level (basements), which is not always possible with wood or composite material.
