We built a new home in 2020-2021 (quite an experience with the supply problem) and used five beams in the living room. They were easy to install but we had a few places where we had to touch up the cut areas. We called them and because we didnt have time to wait for the touch up kits they told us what color and kind of stain to get. It turned out fine but I wish we had known about the touch up kits beforehand. As soon as the scaffolding was taken away we forgot where the touch ups were. Our PVC Running Trim is manufactured in 48-inch sections for easy installation. It can easily be cut, drilled, glued or screwed with common tools. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
