These brackets look great, paint up well (I got the primed only), and seem sturdy enough right now. But the last ones I bought - very similar design - I had custom made and the welds were definitely much more beefy and solid all the way around on those. These brackets appear to have just 2 tack welds where the curved part of the bracket meets each flat plate. We'll see if they hold up. They are not loose in any way though.. Nancy. I this item a 5 star review because its beautiful. However, the ordering process was a pain. wayfair kept changing the date of delivery. I had hired a builder to install them because it is holding up a small roof, so I needed to know a date of delivery but, every couple of days I received an email with a change. So, I called the manufacturer and they stated the delivery date has always been the same which was another date then what I had from Wayfair. The good news is it came 3 days early. The square post, a timeless style is in expanded cellular PVC for quick, easy assembly and virtually maintenance-free! Classic craftsman series posts are not prone to the same environmental damage as real wood, such as splitting or cracking. Their E-Z lock joints will not separate due to disproportionate changes in panel dimensions. When 2 coats of acrylic latex paint are applied, Classic craftsman series posts will deliver years of service as promised against rot, corrosion, and moisture damage.
