Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Let me preface this by saying I am a carpenter by trade, so maybe my expectations were a little higher than they should have been. I think these cross heads are a great product, but have a few issues. Maybe I got a “dud”, but the thing was warped/bowed like crazy. I had to manipulate the thing for about half an hour, glueing and fastening just to get it to sit somewhat flush and level. The pre-mitered corners had some issues as well. Not a flush cut, So I had to do a bit of work on it. For the price, and the convenience of not having to make it by hand..I’d say go for it! Just be sure you understand some work will have to be done to get it perfect. I also want to mention, I got a set of Pilasters from the same company, and those came out excellent! Highly recommend.
