Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. I wanted to leave a detailed review because I couldnt find a detailed review when I decided to purchase these columns.. Mia. Redford, MI. Fri Jan 20 2023

Signature Urethane is a groundbreaking progression in the world of architectural millwork. Molded urethane products have dominated the landscape for their beauty, crisp detail, longevity, and ease of access, but the introduction of specific sizes and styles proved challenging as a new mold would have to be made every time. The introduction of the Signature Urethane line of products takes all of those tried and true benefits of urethane, and free’s it from the mold, meaning you have access to sizes and styles, and even fully customized designs, at an unprecedented level. These items are fully made to the order, using a combination of modern building techniques, and good old fashioned hand craftsmanship, to ensure your corbel, bracket, pilaster, pediment, gable vent or any other piece your project requires comes in exactly as you need it.

Urethane crown moulding has become an increasingly popular choice for homeowners and builders alike due to its myriad benefits. Unlike wood, which can warp, crack, or rot over time, urethane is highly resistant to moisture and temperature changes. This makes it an ideal choice for areas prone to humidity or extreme weather conditions. Whether it’s installed in a bathroom, kitchen, or basement, urethane crown moulding maintains its shape and integrity, ensuring a long-lasting and reliable finish. Another notable advantage is its lightweight nature. Its lightweight characteristic simplifies handling and installation, making urethane crown moulding a popular choice for DIY projects and professional installations alike. Maintenance is another area where urethane crown moulding excels. Wood moulding requires regular upkeep, including painting, sealing, and potential repairs due to damage from pests or moisture. Urethane, on the other hand, does not attract pests, does not absorb water, and is resistant to cracking and chipping. A simple wipe with a damp cloth is usually sufficient to keep it looking new, making it an attractive option for those who prefer a low-effort maintenance routine.

I had ordered two of these from another company (A-Z). They were packaged really bad and one was broken. I then ordered one from Wayfair and all though it was packaged so much better with extra packaging it was broken in half . I think that the company that makes them doesn't ship them to retailers very well. That being said my contractor was able to glue it cause it was cleanly broken and you can't tell. They are really beautiful just order early cause you may have to go through a few to get good ones . I'm very happy I got them they really add a lot to my mantle .. Christina Olivieri. Niches have been used in homes for almost 2000 years, first made of white marble in Nero's home. Most niches are still white, and for many years were mostly made of plaster. Now that many modern architectural products are made of urethane, custom millwork and details such as recessed niches have become affordable for any home improvement project. Niches are distinctive architectural accents. Often used to display sculptures, vases, clocks, plants and flowers, niches are beautiful and functional details that add value to any home interior. They are often used in main hallways, dining rooms, foyers, and staircases. An important aspect of a niche is its ability to concentrate or disperse light, so its placement should be based on the availability of light, either sunlight or interior lighting fixtures. Ceiling accent lights are often added as a compliment above a niche. Niches made of urethane can be easy to install for anyone, simply cut a hole in the drywall and place the niche inside. These niches will also require little maintenance in the future, and offer beauty and value to your home for decades to come. Ekena Millwork offers niches in varying heights, widths, and depths to fit the scale of your home.

Pilasters are a type of door and window trim that provide an elegant and distinctive frame around the vertical sides of entryways. Most commonly used on front doors, architectural pilasters are often used to frame garage doors and windows as well. Pilasters were once found only on more expensive homes, but now make a great home improvement project because they have become affordable for any homeowner's budget.
