These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. I read the instructions and installation is easy but due to the electrical part, I want a certified electrician to do this. They will be beautiful at night lighting up my sidewalk. I can barely wait. I’m giving this four stars. That’s due to the poor documentation that comes to the lamp. It was only after I went back and looked at the reviews that I realized you have to leave the lamp plugged in for an hour or so. Also having extra batteries on hand is helpful.
