The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. This chair replaced a loveseat that we didn’t need anymore. It accommodate a taller person with longer legs due to the dimensions of the cushion from knee to hip. it is a little lower to the ground than I anticipated, but it is doable. This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. Expensive, but completely worth the cost. To have a piece like this custom-made would have been at least as much, and would take longer. I have other pieces in this collection from Copeland. Made from solid cherry with black walnut drawer pulls and beautifully finished, it is exceptional. Was supposed to be delivered in August but it arrived in July. Very pleased about that, along with the communication from Wayfair. The delivery was spot on--the 2 guys were nice as could be and were right on time. They handled the box carefully, and even carried it back to the bedroom rather than leaving it inside the front door. We had a nice chat and tipped them well! Holy cow...these are HEAVY, oversize chairs (about a chair and a half) with overstuffed cushions. They are pricey, but are definitely made to last. Beautiful solid cherry wood 6 drawer dresser made in Bradford Vermont, by Copeland Furniture in a Natural Finish natural cherry. All drawers are solid wood, dovetail joined & adjustable for closing and all are easily removed by pressing in two clips underneath. 7/9/26: update - Customer service has been excellent, responsive and happy with resolution. Voiced my complaint with them and they are replacing the frame for the couch. Can't complain about that. I'll update again if there are no issues with this frame. Outside of that issue, the other pieces are great and very comfortable. OG review: Very disappointed. Had high hopes since my mom has had a plywood set for years and it's quality. Struggled with the idea of spending so much but decided it would be worth it for a quality set that would last for years. Well, that thought was ended the first time we sat on the couch. First off, assembly was a breeze. I completed by myself in a few hours, taking my time because it was extremely hot. But the next morning, went out to have coffee, husband sat on couch, leaned forward to pick up his cup and we heard a pop. He joked about my shotty work putting it together but when we looked we saw it was the prefabricated piece that had broke. IDK if it's just glued together there but it was not strong enough for him to lean forward to grab his coffee. Now, he isn't a tiny guy but he's not huge either, weighes about 220 so in my mind this "quality" furniture should be able to support that. Not sure what kind of customer service help we can get since I am not disassembling everything to send back. Just very surprised and disappointed in Polywood. These captain chairs are the exact same shapechair as the dining chair just with two arms to screw into the two holes on the chair. Assembly was easy. Don’t worry when the arm is just dangling from the chair. Just keep spinning the arm around tightening it until it is almost flush. Then, use the wrench to make it flush. These nightstands are beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing. The drawer pulls are so cool. Even better, they’re made in Vermont and I’m willing to pay more for something made in the USA.
