Fits well in the space where I wanted it and with the shelves in place can store about 8 pairs of most (flat) shoes behind the two doors. On the down side: 2 of the hinges were very tight. the pre-patterned places to install one of the doors was slightly off so the one door looks uneven and does not close properly with the magnet. the fabric on the cushion is very chintzy- I will end up recovering it (which is not a big deal).. Nice looking chest that's surprisingly roomy! I emptied out 3 under bed storage boxes, and now it's all nicely tucked away in this chest. I have 6 sets of sheets, a twin blanket, a queen quilt and shams, a plush throw blanket, and after I took the pictures I added a queen velour blanket to top it off.
