The comforter keeps you warm in the fall & winter, but is not too heavy, during the spring & summer. I am absolutely in love with the plush and velvet texture, and the design. I think its gorgeous, and it feels soft to the skin. I was a bit nervous if it would be difficult to wash, but its very easy. I haven't experienced any difficulties washing or drying this set. The set is durable, and made really well. I was impressed with the craftsmanship. Plus, it fits the mattress perfectly, its not loose at all.
