I love the look of these planters! I haven’t had a chance to plant anything in them yet, but I’m going to put some mums in them as fall approaches. The HDPE is sturdy, but light, the color is a very attractive brownish-black (not pure black, which I actually prefer), and the hammered pattern gives a really nice subtle visual interest. The only observationconcern I have, which may turn out to be unfounded once I plant things in them, is I wonder if the tapered base will make them prone to tipping. I am OBSESSED with these! I've loved window boxes since living in Germany in the 1990s but always had a hard time finding ones to fit my deck railings. This cute planter box was very easy to assemble. I charted out where I wanted it to lay by placing the four corner pieces and bottom layer of panels, then my partner used a mallet to place the four stakes. It came together super fast after that.
