The negative The quality is less than it appeared on the listing, and the color is definitely darker which was a disappointment and made me anxious about whether or not we should attempt to return it. Underneath the tabletop, you can see it’s a low quality maybe plywood type material that was haphazardly painted black and uses an excess of glue and drilled screws for assembly. One of the 4 inch bracing pieces was dislodged, but I am thinking we can easily repair that ourselves with a drill or wood glue. The positive it really is a beautiful table, and I think we will keep it. Without the leaf, it’s still big and beautiful. With the leaf, it’ll be great (in a bigger space) for larger groups of guests to eat with us. I do wish it was the lighter color, but I think I’ll get over that!. Casey. Gainesville, TX. The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all..
