I like the design. For anyone that has books or dvd's it maybe hard for them to prop up alone without support. Only issues is the packers at the warehouse or manufacture packed it with scuffs in the black paint on multiple parts. I tried to hide them toward the back side. I would send it back for a replacement but Wayfair charges for shipping it back to the price of the item. The carriers beat up the package during transit for sure. I am very happy with the look and quality at this price point. I was struggling to find something to for my narrow space in this room. They do feel more expensive than the other similar items in this price range. A few things to note, I don’t love the slight seam to the backing but it’s is hardly noticeable when decorated. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces. This is a very sturdy, solid bookcase and fits perfectly in the small entryway to our coastal bedroom. I rated it a 4 because one of the cane panels wasn't stretched tight enough compared to the others so there was a slight bulge. Otherwise, it would have been a 5. The cane is a nice touch to complement the wood. Wayfair Customer Service has been great in resolving the issue. I also used the assembly service from Angi.
