It’s a quality piece and a beautiful dark gray. The surface feels like wood, looks like wood. But the directions aren’t detailed. Easy enough to figure out with a few tips There are little flanges on the internal posts — and those need to be hammered into place (directions dont indicate this) — otherwise the top piece cant attach. Some of the pieces need coaxing to slide into place — again a few taps with a hammer and they’ll go in. The bottom piece has a metal sleeve — and you need to ensure the metal holes align to the external holes before assembling the whole thing — otherwise you’ll need to drill holes through the metal (what I did).
