These bowls are beautiful! The scallop is such a nice detail around the side. They are quite a big bigger than I was anticipating, but that’s on me. The only issue I had was during shipping the very well packed bowls were out inside another, larger box, and so were totally broken up when I got them. Very cute and look nice with the vancasso bowls. I thought Talavera pattern would originate in Mexico but these are made in China (I didn’t look close enough at description because I was more attracted by the cobalt and white pattern). One tray has a small blue blemish on the white interior glaze but not enough for me to send them back. That’s why only four stars, and that the label warns against leadmercury so maybe I’ll put a piece of waxed paper in the slots when I slip in the tortillas. Anyway, it’s tacos for dinner tonight.. These are very pretty plates. They arrived packaged extremely well. I really like the lip around the plate in theory, but the squareish shape of it makes it difficult to grab off a stack of dishes. I store them standing up so no worries. I took off one star because I didn't think the description made it clear there was a brown rim on the bottom.
