Fantastic mantel. I shopped several custom mantel stores and was prepared to pay over 3k for a mantel when I came across this one. The wood grain and mild distressing is perfect for our space. It gives character to a cookie cutter builder home. Unfortunately the money I saved on the mantel has been spent at Wayfair on other decor items….. not a bad trade off!. Lisa. The Villages, FL. My mantel turned out wonderfully after staining. Make sure you follow instructions and use specific type of stain to get great consistent color coverage. Accentuate a fireplace with contemporary and classy Pearl Mantels. The Crestwood fireplace shelf mantel. This mantel shelf is made from MDF which ensures rigidity and long-term durability. As it is available in multiple finishes and sizes, you can easily select the perfect one for your home. This fireplace mantel shelf belongs to The Crestwood collection and features an interesting design. The mantel shelf can be completed with a flower vase or family portrait. The Crestwood fireplace mantel shelf by Pearl Mantels is lead-free and eco-friendly. Wipe it with a clean, dry cloth and mild cleanser, and this mantel shelf will look new for years to come.

I decided on and purchased this mantle for many reasons. 1) It being a Pearl Mantle let me know it would be made with quality. 2) It’s real wood and not some sort of plastic or pressed board. 3) it’s decorative and accentuates my decor perfectly and 4) the cost wasn’t cheap, but wasn’t unreasonably high! It arrived nicely packed, but I took one star away as it did not come with the 2 inch wood screws needed to do its install! It also did not come with instructions for installation. This meant searching online for instructions and having to go get the screws needed for the install. All that being said, I am still pleased with the mantle as it makes a beautiful addition to my fireplace and living room decor.. Liz J.. Spring Valley, CA. Wed Jun 24 2026

It is the first piece of furniture in any home. There is nothing as warm and welcoming as a crackling fire in an open fireplace. The dancing flames can lift your spirits and melt away the most stressful day in a matter of minutes. But to truly be part of the home, a fireplace must warm our hearts even when there is no fire in the grate. Pearl does not treat the mantel as trim or molding but as a beautiful piece of furniture that is the focal point of the entire room, the emotional core. It represents roots, heritage, and tradition. Furniture is arranged around it, precious treasures are displayed on it and it provides balance and stability to the entire room. Pearl Mantels features fine furniture quality, stunning details, and classic designs that will enhance any decor. The Homestead mantel shelf is a beautiful transitional design that features elegant cove molding. The ample ten-inch shelf depth allows plenty of display room. Handcrafted from Asian hardwoods that take paint and stain beautifully. Mitered hanger board assembly included for easy installation. Light sanding and filling are recommended before paint or stain is applied.

Really great quality. But it’s HEAVY. The weight isn’t listed anywhere in the description, at least not when I purchased it. (I double checked to make sure.) I’m pretty handy, but there’s no way I can install this by myself. I’d also feel a little nervous about my 100 year old fireplace holding all of that weight. It’d probably be fine, but I know I’d be thinking about it. I bought a lighter mantel and installed it no problem. Still trying to figure how how to return this one…. Tv. Sun Sep 13 2026
