The pedestal is beautiful. But it's small. You can't fit a standard size laundry detergent bottle in it... The laundry hamper is a cool idea, but, nothing else fits in the drawer... So you only can keep an empty laundry hamper in the drawer?? Also mine shipped without an instruction manual (there isn't one online), no screws, and no clips. We needed to cover our well head and wanted something instead of a fake rock or wishing well. I wanted something more unique and artsy so I ordered this large rustic cast iron sundial and set it on top of an inverted stainless steel planter that was the perfect dimensions. The planter will soon form a rust patina from the weather, which will complement the sundial color. Both items are heavy enough to not tip in the wind or be knocked over by curious deer and everything can be lifted off for access to the well head. I think it looks great! The sundial is well made and came with what appeared to be a clear coat of weather protection but I sprayed it again myself as recommended by a Wayfair representative in response to my question about the subject.
