When you get it do not pull the preloaded thread through! I did and then spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to thread up. The trick is to tie new thread on the old and pull it through. Manual is OK but youtube help was invaluable. I really love this machine! Already made lots of stuff and really put it through the workhorse test by making reusable 'paper towels' by putting rolled edges on 9x9 flannel squares.
