The Fountain Basin is the ideal water basin for a wide variety of decorative water features, including stone, brass, ceramic and resin fountains. The basin is constructed of professional-grade, high-density polyethylene and backed by a lifetime warranty to ensure years of satisfaction. The Fountain Basin handles pump flow rates up 4,000 gallons per hour and can store up to 98 gallons of water (AquaBasin 45). Drillable deck cylinders across the top of the basin provide endless plumbing and lighting options and keep unsightly cables and plumbing out of sight. The large, flat deck makes it easy to set and position fountains and the center cylinder is pre-drilled for plumbing single fountain applications. A pump access panel with an integrated handle makes it easy to remove the cover for pump access. The large size of the corner access is compatible with larger pumps and is the area is elevated to prevent gravel from falling into the basin during pump maintenance. Beautiful fountain with excellent quality! Its very heavy, but thats to be expected given the solid construction, and the weight is clearly noted in the product specifications. The touch of copper is a fun little accent, and the overall design has a charming old-world European feel—exactly what I was looking for. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons 1. Pump speed It has three speed settings, but I didnt notice any difference in the water flow between them. The three-tier waterfall is a bit louder than I expected for my small patio, so I was hoping to be able to reduce the flow. That said, the sound is still lovely, and Im very happy with it overall. 2. We adore this fountain. It came very well packaged and was in perfect condition when it arrived. We have it near a busy sidewalk and our bird feeders. We intentionally ordered a fountain that was low enough for dogs to be able to drink from it as well as our feathered friends. The birds adore it, and it has definitely increased the amount of birds we receive at the feeders. We hired a professional electrician to install it, and he said it was simple to do. We top it off every 5-6 days. I would say that the only negative is that the filter needs to be cleaned out more than we expected, about every 3-4 weeks to keep it operating at its best, but that is very quick and easy to do..
