I needed to replace the cast iron grills on my Regal and didnt want to have to replace them again in the next 5 years. (becuase im lazy and dont season my grills the way I should). So Sear marks or not, I went for the stainless steel rods. Im a believer now. They leave dark sear marks just like the cast irion grills that i had before. They are so much easier to clean. If my budget was larger, I would have chosen an entire shower trim set that was very expensive and more sleek. But this was a middle ground that I found pleasing. I would recommend this product.
