I love this crate. I got it to replace the old style metal kind. My dog is a French bulldogBoston terrier mix and about 22lbs. She fits perfectly with plenty of space to stand up as well as lounge. I love this dog crate. Very heavy. It is the xtra large… which will be needed as our European Bassett is expected to reach 80-90lbs. The boxes arrived a bit beat up as usual, but the pieces inside were safe and well-protected. I absolutely love the style of this dog crate it has that vintage industrial look that makes it feel like a real piece of furniture instead of just a kennel. It was definitely a bit time-consuming to assemble, especially with the sliding doors, but it was totally worth it in the end. I really like it because there are times when I want my Frenchie to stay calm and in one spot, especially while I’m cleaning or passing the vacuum. It’s perfect for that and he seems very comfortable. To be honest, I think I would have liked a darker wood color better, but this one is fine for now and it still looks very elegant in the room. Excellent piece of furniture! I was concerned with some reviews stating that it was difficult to put together or holes didn’t line up but we had no issues. It is a very sturdy piece of furniture and the storage drawers are very handy to keep items needed (we put treat bags, leashes, collars, etc.) I added baskets to the storage area to keep it organized. I really appreciate that there are doors to access from the front or sides giving options for entrance and exit points. We have small dogs (pugs) but also foster for a pug rescue so this makes it easy to keep our own dogs on one side and a rescue on the other side without needing to have crates all over the house. They have way more space than needed. This would easily hold a bigger dog. (Although I don't know about the strength of the sliding doors with strong heavy dogs.) The only other thing I suggest is that it would come with the plastic crate trays. We want those for easy clean up. (We just ordered some online from another retailer.)
