I am in love with this bed! First, let me say that the design is fantastic from an engineering standpoint! No wooden slats. The slats underneath are metal and they click and lock b in place with a rubber grommet that secures them fantastic design! I can’t tell you how many beds we’ve had with wooden slats that had to be replaced. The center support bar underneath has legs that are already attached and simply snap out and lock.
