It's not easy to put together, but if you take your time and follow the picture you will get it right. You will have A LOT of extra parts when done, this is ok. You will have no extra wooden pieces. IF you don't pay for someone to put this together, you need to give yourself about 4 hours to complete and that is if you don't stop. Putting the unit together will take time and DO NOT USE A POWER SCREWDRIVER OR DRILL, you will mess up the wood and then you will have to deal with that. Great unit and very happy with the finish.. Very nice and study tv stand. The tv stand is quite sturdy and heavy so I recommend setting it up where you plan on leaving it. The directions were a little difficult to understand but the quality of the actual entertainment center is quite nice.
