The rain barrel is exactly as described on site and fairly easy to put together. I did place a brick on the bottom interior as it is rather light and we get some strong wind at times. UPDATE: Finally rained and got about half the Rain Barrel full. So, I wanted to drain it for the first time. This is where I discovered something interesting. I put the hose in the bucket and turned the lower faucet on. Nothing happens. Checked connection, ok. Turned faucet on again nothing. I put the hose on the ground and it works. I put it back in the bucket, stops. The issue is there is no pressure of any kind to send water out of the Rain Barrel. I laid the bucket down, hose worked but as the bucket needed to be raised to hold the water, at a certain point the hose stopped draining water. If you want to use the rain water on the ground near the Rain Barrel no problem. If you need to use a bucket to carry to a different location, might have a problem filling the bucket. I suppose we could use some kind of container to manually take the water out of the Rain Barrel and fill the bucket. Other than this issue, Rain Barrel does collect water efficiently.. Rose. I’m super excited to have this compost bin. Assembly was straightforward and everything snapped together perfectly. I like the open bottom so that earthworms will have easy access to the compost. The lid has a decent little latch and the sliding door for accessing compost is a great feature Simply slide the door up and off for shoveling out finished compost.
