Easy to work with, process is a bit tedious and time Consuming due to prep work and finishing details. We chose to attach to the wall using a brad nailer instead of glue to avoid wall damage if neededwant to remove in the future. So we had to caulk the seams as well as the nail holes, then sand, and we finishes it with two coats of our wall color in a glossier finish. These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Crown molding has the ability to add beauty to any room. The dentil design on this one is a nice feature. The benefit of foam (EPS) crown molding is that it does not shrink. Cuts easily with a miter saw or fine-tooth blade.
