This sprouter is very efficient. It works just as you see it here. I like that it water's itself and it holds a lot of water...maybe a little too much water. I really don't see a need for it to hold that much at one time. You get nice, tall sprouts with this bigger unit and you can stack 2 levels. It's easier to keep clean than some of the smaller units but you will need to get a good brush, and also the hydrogen peroxide made for these sprouters. I found it here under SKU#TBS1012. With this unit and the fact that it plugs in, I wish it also had a warming unit which is important for sprouting seedlings. Overall I'm happy with this sprouter.
