I chose the Oxford Blue Willow because of its beauty and history of the design. Being this set is porcelain and not earthenware which is made by Churchill I was thinking its lighter in weight and easier to handle for my wife. First, I’m reviewing the French Pearl groove White not the ice blue like it says here. I had the same set of Pfaltzgraff grapevine pattern dishware for over 30 years. I was ready for a change. I love these dishes. They’re heavy. The glazing is beautiful. And I love the little pedestal on the bowls. I didn’t get the mugs because I don’t need mugs. But this really elevates the appearance of my table… Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo yet. I’ll add one later. After 21 years of using the same dinnerware, we decided to treat ourselves to something different. We also chose to only order 4 place settings of everyday ware because when we have a larger group, the "good stuff" - the 12-place settings Noritake China, our wedding gift 41 years ago, make an appearance.
