This screen is beautiful. It is not hand carved, it was probably lazer carved. The pattern was cut in a type of plywood, and the frame is solid wood. So the carved part is a bit two dimensional. But the upside is affordability and being light enough to pick up and move around. I am happy with it! The two way hinges are very nice, and the screen looks beautiful where I will be needing it to be used. FedEx dropped the box jn a pile of snow quite a distance from my house. The box was torn a bit. But… the screen was packaged so well by Wayfair it survived the FedEx abuse completely intact. Good work, Wayfair! This product was easy to apply and looks fantastic. Unfortunately ours came with black edges, so there's a black substance that wipes off. You'll need to wipe every one off thouroughly to rub off the black. We applied in a bedroom behind a bed, so it looked FANTASTIC, but we continue to get black on hands and bedding.
