The Hearth is unlike any other fire pit on the market. The Hearth is fully collapsible, making it easier to pack up for easy storage, or on the go. We used science to create a better atmosphere for you and your family around the fire. The Hearth pulls air in from three sources: protected air holes in the base, through hollow legs, and the top of each wall. As it rises through the leg, the air becomes superheated as your fire’s internal temperature reaches up to 1,500°F. The superheated air is expelled through the top, right under the top cap, mixing with the smoke coming off the fire. This ignites a secondary burn of the smoke, nearly eliminating all visible fumes coming from your fire pit. These smokeless fire pits amaze me! They are good at what they do for sure. Stood around mine for about 40 mins the other day and you could barely make out a slight smoky smell on my clothes. There are some distinct differences between this fire pit and the solo stoves. This thing is HEAVY duty (and just heavy) . Seems very sturdy, like it will last a while. A second difference is this thing gets HOT! Unlike the solo that doesn't get hot on the sides and bottom, this fire pit does! For me I consider that an advantage, I have stood around numerous solo stoves that I could barely feel any heat from it unless I was standing right up against it. This one kicks out some nice heat..
