He was very familiar with furniture assembly and it took 90 minutes. The instructions are 17 pages long. Dozens and dozens of screws. Fee was more than worth the cost. I love this bookcase and think that it is a great way to store linens for our apartment. My only complaint with this is one door is a little uneven. I took the screws out multiple times and tried to realign it as best as I could, and nothing seemed to work.
