I put these in my living room. The design on them is subtle, and I love them that way. I had ordered and hung the same panels and I liked them so much that I ordered 2 more panels to make them thicker. These drapes hang really well. The fabric is very nice, however, I can't say that they are room darkening because I can see the sun shining through them. But, I don't mind. If I close them, they are dark enough for me.
