Two similar pictures of this beautiful painting in different lighting and yes, I know it looks a little crooked, but I assure you my ability to use a level is better than my photo taking skills! The only sesame seed sized “complaint” I have is that tiny, white spot that is only noticeable up close and with a critical eye because it’s against the black trim. Summoning the rich history of Greek culture, this early Hellenistic helmet is a functional work of art. Skilled artisans have fashioned this artifact in quality designer resin with a distinctive faux-bronze finish, and showcased it atop an ebony wood museum mount.

This Spartan Helmet took my eye right away! Initially, I thought of both of my sons who love this period of time, but in the end, I kept it for myself! It is made well, but when you first take it out of the plastic wrap it does have an odor, maybe of paint. It looks like a mixture of bronze and black. The size looks comparable to a typical helmet. On its stand it appears to be about 16” high. The big decision is to whether have a frontal view or a side view, showing off the feathers of the helmet.
