For me and my wife, the wine/beverage glass was just what we were looking for. It was not made of a thick material which then makes it look elegant and not cheap. Some of the reviews say they were too big. Maybe so if you would use them only for wine but if doubling as a juice, beverage, or water glass, the size is great. Some of the reviews say they may break easily and I would agree. We just need to be careful. However, they are not expensive; the price is very reasonable so we bought three sets (12 pcs) to anticipate any expected breakage. We just got them today so I cannot comment about its longevity (ie, chips, etching) with extended use.
