It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. This bookcase was perfect for my office setup. I purchased two of them in the gray color. Easy to assemble, easy to move around once assembled.  Usually MDF manufactured wood has a low quality feel to it but the individual pieces felt well made and the structure as a whole once assembled was sturdy as if it was a solid piece to begin with. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. Very nice piece as described! However I would have preferred it to be a little higher and more space between shelves so you can actually use the space better. The instructions were pretty easy but there are a lot of screws and that little screwdriver that they provided wasn’t the best tool to use. This came in a flat pack. Assembly took about 2 hours with my 3 year old helping. The wood pieces are actually really solid but once put together it wobbles .
