Works great for my bedroom, not too loud. When I video chat they can barely hear it in the background. The installation kit fit perfectly in my window with no issues. There are no instructions on how to use the metal piece that comes with it to secure the window kit position but after playing with it I figured it out. I definitely agree with thought this air conditioner was what was advertised. I have always wanted to try a portable air conditioner. I should have thought it through because i had a 10000 BTU window unit that kept our room cool.
