This will work great in our new home. These high cabinets are about 96 inches up and the 1st shelf is about 105 inches up. I’m 5’4” and can reach the top. It’s sturdy and looks nice for an “indoor” ladder. The wood paint on the metal ladder looks great. I knocked off a star because it had a ding on one of the steps right out of the box. This is a very solid stool, and top step tall enough that I can reach the ceiling to change smoke detector batteries. While standing on the top step, another set of hands is needed because being that high up I did not feel entirely stable, but that is because of the height at which I was standing, not the stool itself. The stool itself is very solid and feels completely safe. when on the bottom or middle step, very easy to single-y use and the foam top rail grip is really helpful for safety (the bottom and middle step are great for reaching into a higher cupboard).
